Winger thrown into Chelsea first-team training after Guus Hiddink ends loan spell
GHANA winger Christian Atsu is back at Chelsea after the Blues terminated his loan spell at Bournemouth.
Atsu joined the Cherries on a season-long loan deal over the summer but the move hasn’t worked out.
He played just twice for the South Coast club, both times in the Capital One Cup.
Atsu has reportedly already been thrown into first-team training, suggesting Guus Hiddink could hand him a start for the struggling defending champions.
The winger picked up a shin injury on international duty with Ghana in September which hampered his chances of breaking into Bournemouth’s team.
He returned to Chelsea for treatment before heading back to Dean Court at the start of December
But he’s now back at Stamford Bridge for good as the club decide their next move.
Atsu could be shipped off elsewhere for the second-half of the season or Hiddink could opt to hand him a spot in his Chelsea squad.
