Chelsea are Europa League Champions

It was a glorious night as London Rivals Chelsea and Arsenal slugged it out for who will emerge Europa league champions.

Chelsea showed determination to be champions by taking the game to Arsenal early on. Eden Hazard scored two goals and provided an assist to help Chelsea defeat the gunners.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri got the first trophy of his managerial career while for Hazard, it hinted the end of his time with the blues.

Former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud broke the deadlock when he finished Emerson’s ccross with a powerful near-post header that proved too hot to handle for Petr Cech.

Cech, also facing his old side and playing the final match of his career, could do nothing about Chelsea’s second goal, with Pedro converting a Hazard cross.

Hazard made it 3-0 from the penalty spot soon after, when defemder Ainsley Maitland-Niles fouled Giroud.

Substitute Alex Iwobi seemed to bring light to arsenal’s way with a powerful first-time strike moments after coming on.

But Hazard quickly killed the game, playing a one-two with Giroud and firing home Chelsea’s fourth goal.

The blues will return to England as European champions for the first time since 2013 when they won the Europa league against Portuguese side Benfica.
