SUPER EAGLESThe Super Eagles of Nigeria yesterday evening arrived the Industrial city of Alexandria  as they get set face Egypt in Tuesday’s make-or-mar 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier encounter billed for the Borg El-Arab Stadium.

The Nigerian delegation was led by NFF President Amaju Pinnick as they arrive the Mediterranean city after being held to a 1-1 draw by the pharaohs at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Saturday.

The team, without injured first-choice goalkeeper Carl Ikeme was received by a team of Nigerian Embassy officials led by Ambassador Mohammed Maccido, who expressed his delight to host them and enjoined them to make the country proud.

In his reply, coach Samson Siasia has vowed that his team would go for glory against the hosts.

“We know we have no choice but to win, so we will go all out,” said Siasia.

“There is no alternative. All the players are aware of that fact and whoever gets to play tomorrow will fight very hard for the country.”

Nigeria will be without their acclaimed supporters club who were denied entry visas for the crunch tie by the Egyptian embassy in Abuja.

Only one team can now qualify from Group G Following Chad’s withdrawal from the qualifiers.
