(Photos) Mallam Gimba Yau Kumo weds Fatima Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari’s second daughter, got married to her fiance, Mallam Gimba Yau Kumo (former MD Federal Mortgage Bank) at her father’s home in Daura, Katsina state on Friday October 28th.
The groom paid N100,000 as the bride price for Fatima Buhari.
Fatima is the second daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari’s first wife, Safinatu who died in 2006. She reportedly was widowed, but now starts a new phase as the fourth wife Mallam Ya’u Gimba Kumo.
The marriage was contracted in accordance with Islamic injunctions and was attended by top Federal and States’ Government officials such as the Governors of Gombe and Bauchi, Alhaji Ibrahim Dankwambo and Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar , The Ministers of Interior and Defence, Abdurrahman Dambazau and Mansur Dan-Ali; the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris; the Controller-General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede; and Director-General, Department of State Services, Lawal Musa Daura, also graced the occasion.
Others were Senators Mustapha Bukar (Katsina North), Ahmed Sani from Zamfara State and Danjuma Goje from Gombe State.
Guests had unhindered access to the President’s residence, venue of the marriage, in spite the heavy presence of security personnel.
