Federal Government unveils Nigeria Air as New National Carrier

The President Muhammadu Buhari led federal Government has unveiled a new national carrier for the Federal Republic of Nigeria called Nigeria Air. Nigeria Air takes over from the defunct Nigeria Airways.

The federal government released the new name and logo of the national carrier at the Farnborough Air show in England.

At least 5 aircraft is reported to have been ordered from Europe aircraft giant Airbus and will be delivered in December 2018. The government has also penned a memorandum of understanding with U.S giants Boeing for additional aircrafts.
