Match Preview of Mexico Vs Nigeria FIFA U-17 World Cup Semi-Finals
The stakes have gotten higher as the semi finals of the FIFA U-17 world cup is getting underway tonight and all four teams have already proven they can win the cup.
The encounter between Belgium and West Africans Mali will be the first semi final game followed by the highly anticipated Mexico Vs Nigeria game which will be the second game of the night.
From the start of the tournament, Mexico and Nigeria have been tipped favorites for the trophy but as it stands only one team will have the opportunity to at least play the finals.
The two sides at the 2013 edition of the tournament in UAE and the Nigerian U-17 side won that game by 3 unreplied goals to win the U-17 world cup for the fourth time. Mexico and Nigeria have however met three times in the FIFA U-17 World Cup and the Nigerian U-17 side have come out winners in 2 of those occasions with Mexico winning just once.
Mexico game play will be running down the Nigerian defense with their quick play and attack. However the strength of the Nigerian U-17 side lies in long balls and on fire striker, Victor Osimhen who has bagged in eight goals so far this tournament.
The Mexican U-17 team will be without the services of Ulises Torres who was handed a second consecutive yellow card in two games while the Golden Eaglets will be without Ibrahim Bamgboye who also picked up a second consecutive yellow card in the game against Brazil.
Mexico Vs Nigeria FIFA U-17 World Cup semi final game will kick off 12am Nigerian time Friday, 06 November.
