FIFA RANKING – Nigeria’s Fall Continues in Africa

fifa ranking Nigeria Gets Beaten 2 - 0 by DR Congo,Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh and Vincent EnyeamaThe Super Eagles of Nigeria’s ranking according to the Federation of international football association (FIFA) published latest ranking of soccer playing countries has taken a dip as Nigeria is now the 12th footballing nation in Africa and 59th in the world FIFA ranking.

Compared to their position the previous month, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped seven places, and now occupy the 59th position.

Ivory Coast, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde Islands and Senegal are the top five teams in Africa in that order.

The Super Eagles rivals in their quest to book a ticket to the next African Nations Cup – Egypt, Tanzania and Chad – are placed 57th, 135th and 136th in the global rankings.

Amongst the top 5 footballing nations, there was a switch with Belgium leading the way followed by Germany, Argentina, Portugal and Chile.

The next FIFA ranking will be published by the official website of the soccer governing body Fifa, on December 3, 2015.
