SSA Garba Shehu Issues Statement on Chibok Parents Visit
In a series of tweets via @GarShehu, Garba Shehu, President Muhammadu Buhari’s official Spokesperson (SSA, Media & Publicity) stated the government’s side of what supposedly went down today in a meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and the parents of the Chibok girls who were accompanied by members of #BringBackOurGirls advocacy movement and other civil society groups.
According to Garba Shehu, President Buhari reassured of the military’s ability to rescue the #ChibokGirls, but added that “intelligence is delicate and we don’t want to anything to jeopardize the lives of the girls.”
