Zlatan Ibrahimovic to become Mourinho’s first Signing

Swedish Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester United over a deal to bring the former PSG striker to the English Premier League.

Ibrahimovic’s agent, Mino Raiola made the disclosure as he said that the widely speculated move now hinges on talks between the superstar forward and the club’s new manager, José Mourinho, Guardian reports.

34 year old Zlatan became available on a free transfer at the end of the season after leading French giants Paris Saint-Germain to a second domestic treble, and despite rumours linking him to a number of top European sides, including hometown club Malmo FC, the giant Swede said he knew all along where he was headed.

However, the striker is said to want reassurances from club hierarchy that he will play an important role at Old Trafford next season, as he’s not interested in being a back-up striker towards the end of his glittering career.

Mourinho and Ibrahimovic have praised each other since the Portuguese got the United job, with Zlatan saying last week that he “had a fantastic time with him at Inter and we said when I left that we might work together again,” and that he had “spoken to Mourinho every day since I left Inter.”

United have reportedly agreed to his wage demand of £220,000-a-week, as the striker prepares with the rest of the Sweden squad ahead of Euro 2016 in France.
