Sunday Oliseh Resigns as Super Eagles Coach

Super Eagles Coach, Sunday Oliseh has resigned as the coach of Nigeria’s senior national team, Super Eagles.

Oliseh resigned in the early hours of Friday, February 26, citing contract violations by the Nigerian Football Federation, as justification for his decision to step down.

He also cited a lack of support from the country’s football administrators, unpaid wages and benefits to his players as well as his assistant coaches, a further justification for his unexpected announcement.

The former captain of the Super Eagles announced his resignation via his page on micro-blogging social media platform, Twitter.

I feel fortunate, blessed and eternally grateful for having had the honour to Play,Captain & Coach this great Nation of ours,Nigeria.
