Nigeria’s U-23 side ended their unbeaten run in the Rio Olympics after a 2 – 0 loss to South Americans, Colombia.
Nigerian still topped the group and will meet the runners up from group b in the quarter finals. Nigeria had earned two wins from two games and the Siasia tutored side have established an unassailable lead at the top of the standings and will advance to the quarterfinal as group winners.
Th game, a mere formality for the Nigerian side saw Siasia rest some key men to keep them fresh for a potential knockout round tie against hosts Brazil.
