Rio Highlights – Nigeria vs Japan

With the John Obi Mikel captained Nigerian Olympics team arriving just hours before the game, no one was expecting so much from the side in their first group 8 outing as they faced Japan.

Nigeria U-23 team was making their 7th Olympics appearance, after they first showed up in the 1968 edition that took place in Mexico. Oghenekaro Etebo piled on the goals, scoring four times as Nigeria was able to hold off Japan for a wild 5-4 win.
