Paul Le Guen Rejects Super Eagles Job

nFF Appoints Paul Le GuenIn an unexpected twist, the search for a permanent coach for Nigeria’s Super Eagles has hit a brick wall as Frenchman Paul Le Guen has reportedly rejected the offer, Punch writes.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), on Monday, announced Le Guen as the new coach of the senior national team after picking him from a 3-man shortlist that included Belgian Tom Saintfiet and erstwhile interim manager Salisu Yusuf.

However, fresh reports have emerged that the 52-year-old former France international has rejected the offer because the Glass House failed to meet his terms and conditions, according to Punch.

Herve Penot, a reporter at influential French daily L’Euipe, broke the news on his Twitter handle @hpenot_lequipe.

The tweet reads in English: “Paul Le Guen rejects Nigeria. Frenchman insists the country’s FA (NFF) yet to meet terms & conditions to be coach.”
