Obasanjo Pays Homage to the New Ooni of Ife (Photo)

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, a close friend of the late Ooni has gone to Ile-Ife to pay homage to the new Ooni of Ile-Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Ogunwusi arrived in Ile-Ife to begin the coronation rites to ascend the throne on Tuesday, and amongst guests who has visited him includes President Obasanjo.

Obasanjo was a close friend of the former Ooni, and wished Ogunwusi well as he prepared to ascend the throne.

Ogunwusi has a number of rites to complete before he can fully ascend the throne, which began with his initiation into the cult of the Sooko on Tuesday.
