The Super Eagles of Nigeria has risen three places to rank at 67th in the latest FIFA rankings for the month of August while maintaining their position in Africa.
In July, the Super Eagles were rated 70th globally and 16th on the continent.
The Eagles have in the past few months maintained a free fall due to its absence from International competitions and friendlies, a result which saw them experience their worst rankings in recent times.
Algeria remain Africa’s best ranked team as they occupy number 32 in the world and first on the continent as there were no changes at the rankings summit, with the top 20 retaining their July position.
Argentina remain top, followed closely by Belgium, Colombia, Germany and Chile.
