Nigerians and African Americans in War of Words over Davido

A messy drama is ensuing between Nigerians and African Americans, triggered by a post on The Shade Room.

Drama ensued after popular blog The Shade Room owned by a Nigerian, Angela Nwandu shared a promotional video of Davido who will be performing at a concert in Houston, Texas. African Americans on the blog mocked Davido and Nigeria, and as it has always been, Nigerians hopped on the post, the altercation degenerating into another episode of tension between the two sides.

This will not be a first of the feuds as one started after rapper Wale uploaded a photo of himself and Olamide, and his American fans called the Nigerian rapper a homosexual because he wore $845 Giuseppe Zanotti sandals which they said made him look like a homosexual.

When the blog shared the Davido clip, the American readers mocked Davido’s voice, laughed at his freestyle on Tim Westwood, and what followed calls to question the misconception between the two sides.
