Nigeria Gets Beaten 2 – 0 by DR Congo

The Super Eagles of Nigeria got beaten 2 – 0 by DR Congo in an international friendly game played at the Stade de la Cite de l’Oie, Vise, thursday evening.

The Leopards earned their goals from Dieumerci Mbokani and Jordan Nkololo  as they beat the former African champions, who were below par in the match.

The Congolese were ahead as early as the 6th minute, after Yannick Bolasie crossed for Mbokani to fire past Carl Ikeme. Nkololo doubled their lead in the 41st minute of play.

The new Super Eagles gaffer Sunday Oliseh recorded his first loss since he took over the Super Eagles. In the previous two games, he drew 0-0 against Tanzania in Dar es Salaam and beat Niger 2-0 in a friendly in Port Harcourt.

Nigeria will face arch rivals Cameroon on Sunday.
