List of players invited by Rohr for Nigeria vs Algeria Cracker

Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has included Kenneth Omeruo, Odion Ighalo and Oghenekaro Etebo in a strong 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria November 12 in Uyo.

Gambia’s Bakary Papa Gassama as the center referee for Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against Algeria at  Uyo’s Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Akwaibom.

Omeruo was not expected on the list as he helped the Zambians score an easy goal while Odion Ighalo missed last month’s win against Zambia which coincided with the burial of his late father.

Etebo has yet to feature for the Eagles since the German took over the reins of the national team.

Ighalo’s Watford teammate, Success Isaac, has been dropped after picking up an injury, along with Turkey-based Musa Mohammed and Victor Osimhen.

New entry to the side include  ADO Den Haag right fullback Tyronne Ebuehi and Russia-based defender Brian Idowu.

Nigeria currently sits top of Group B on three points ahead of Algeria and Cameroon on a point each, with Zambia bringing up the rear.

Mikel Obi is meant to lead the players back as the Super Eagles Camp opens on Monday, November 7 in Abuja, where they’ll train till Thursday before moving to Uyo.
