John Obi Mikel points to Chelsea ExitSuper Eagles captain John Obi Mikel may finally leave Stamford Bridge this summer his agent has revealed as reports indicate Chelsea are prepared to let go of the long serving midfielder for £7.7m.

Besiktas of Turkey is Mikel’s likely destination.

The Playmaker who has spent 10 years at the Stanford bridge has been at Chelsea since 2006 and last season struggled to hold down a regular place in the starting XI. The Nigeria international could be sold as part of incoming manager Antonio Conte’s squad changes this summer.

Turkish newspaper Fotomac quote representative Mesrun Izzet as claiming a move to the Super Lig is on the cards. Michy Batshuayi has been snapped ahead of a closed Belgium training session in France as Chelsea close in on sealing a move for the striker “Mikel did enquire about Besiktas and there were talks (but) it all depends on what their board decide to do,” Izzet said.

“Money is of course important but Mikel wants first-team football if he is to move.” Mikel during his stay in Chelsea won the Champions League, Europa League, two Premier League titles, four FA Cups and two League Cups.
