The Eaglets lived up the expectations of a fifth FIFA U-17 World Cup title after beating the Junior El Tri of Mexico by 4 goals to 2.

Okonkwo made it 2 for the Eaglets with a stunning strike but the resilient Mexicans were back in the game in no time with D Cortes scoring a fine individual goal. Ebere made it 3 for the Eaglets while Victor Osimhen had to wait for a spot kick to increase his tournament goal tally to 9.
Nigeria will now have to meet African Champions, Mali who had earlier qualified in the finals of this year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Nigeria will take on Mali in the finals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup at the Estadio Sausalito on Sunday, 08 November by 11pm Nigerian time.
