HarrySong Shares How his Grandma was almost Lynched in Delta Land Dispute

Five Star music artiste, Harrysong has revealed that his grandmother was almost lynched during a land dispute that took place last month in Delta.

Sometime last month, popular Newspaper,Vanguard reported that two people were left dead and 11 others injured in a recent clash between two communities – Ogbe-Ijoh and Aladja- in Delta state.

According to the reports, the violent clash was caused by a land dispute between the two communities which had started many years ago

According to the Reggae Blues singer, the violence between the two neighbouring communities had intensified and the rampaging hoodlums had proceeded towards his family house, where his grandmother was, to tear it down. Fortunately, the aged woman, a neighbour and some close friends were able to rescue her out of the area before the angry youths reached her.

Harrysong, however, revealed that he lost some of his relatives to the violent clash.

“When I first heard of the clash, I feared for my aged grandmother’s life, because some who couldn’t escape before the violence worsened were burnt inside their houses” he said.

He added that in the middle of the crisis, youths of both communities confided in him at some point and demanded money from him to buy ammunition, but with some wisdom he talked them out of fighting each other.

In the spirit of preaching peace to several warring communities in Delta state, Mr. Song also revealed that he has planned a peace concert slated for July 31, with the help of some top government officials of Delta state. The even will hold at the Asaba Event Center famously known as The Dome.
