Female Evangelist murdered in Kubwa AbujaKubwa, a residential district in Bwari on the outskirts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja on Saturday witnessed tragedy when a 42 year-old female evangelist, Eunice Elisha was fatally attacked by yet unidentified assailants.

Eunice Elisha until her death was a mother of seven. She was preaching around the Gbazango-West area of Kubwa when she was said to have been cut in the neck and stabbed in the stomach.

According to The Punch, Eunice was a Deaconess at a Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God on Old NEPA Road, Phase 4, Kubwa.

It was learnt that her killers left her in the pool of her blood with her bible, megaphone and cellphone.

Her remains were later discovered by residents who alerted policemen who came to evacuate her to the police station where her husband went to identify her.

Eunice’ husband, Mr  Olawale Elisha told newsmen:

“My wife always goes out early in the morning for ‘Morning Cry’ (evangelism). There was a particular day she went out and she told me that there is a mosque at the back where they commented about what she said. So I just cautioned her.

“This morning (Saturday),  she went around 5am and I was still in bed because we did vigil which she participated in for a while because of the ‘Morning Cry’ she planned to undertake. Two of my boys are footballers, so they went to the field to play. And when they came back, they told me that they heard some footballers saying that some hoodlums had butchered a woman who was preaching early this morning.”

Elisha who said Eunice was born on July 23, 1974, said they got married in July, 2000.

A senior police officer at the Kubwa divisional police office confirmed the incident.
