Enyimba Crowned Champions Again

The people’s elephant, Enyimba football club of Aba has won the Nigeria Premier League for a record seventh time.
Enyimba needed to get at least a point in their next two games (from a maximum of 6 points) and had their title-deciding match with Warri Wolves, played at the Aba International stadium.
The game ended in a stalemate as the home team lost a player to a red card.
The former African Champions needed a draw or a win to lift the trophy with 67 points, and they fought hard to get the job done at their home stadium.
Prior to now, Enyimba won the title in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2010.
