Abia State’s Tourism Commissioner launches Creative Hub

Thursday, the twenty Second (22) day of March 2018 was a historic occasion as at the  Micheal Okpara Auditorium Umuahia, the Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture had her first stakeholders/creative forum.

The stakeholders meeting was a gathering of the creme de la creme of Tourism, Arts and Culture in Abia State.

The stakeholders had an interactive  forum and the new ideas that unfolded will transform the Tourism sector of  Abia State.

The Hon. Commissioner in his remark reminded the  ministry ,stakeholders and creative Abians that  “Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is creating enabling environment for Abians to use their creative talents to make wealth.

Hon. Obioma Ogbonna, the Honourable Commissioner of Tourism , Arts and Culture told the particpating  audience  that His Excellency, the Executive  Governor  ,Dr Okezie Ikpeazu’s  vision on human capacity development recognizes  creativity ,knowledge and access to information as powerful engine that drives economic growth and development.

The Commisioner emphasized  that the creative initiative will launch Abia state into a new phase of Tourism.

The major event  that took place was identification of talents, and formation of creative clusters, by the focal person of the Abia Creative Cluster, Derek Obasi.

It was indeed a moment of good prospect and  opportunities for  hospitality industries in Abia state while Abia state arts council of  made it more colorful when they took over the stage.The event ended glamorously as  stakeholders look forward to another forum.
