Nigeria’s embattled immediate past Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke has reportedly been restricted from leaving the United Kingdom where she is to be tried till April 2016.

Diezani, who has already gone through getting arrested  and being released on bail the same day, is expected to be arraigned before the magistrate, after the conclusion of investigation into allegations of money laundering and bribery  against her.

Alison-Madueke can only travel after an application has been approved by the court… consequently, she has been confined to the United Kingdom pending the time the investigations would last.

The NCA, which leads the UK law enforcement’s fight to cut serious and organised crime, is working together with their Nigerian counterpart the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, in the investigation of Alison-Madueke.
