CAN elects New President to Replace Oritsejafor

A successor has been announced to take over from Ayo Oritsejafor as President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) .

Appointed as Oritsejafor’s replacement is the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC), Reverend Supo Ayokunle.

Ayokunle emerged the new president of CAN on Tuesday, June 14.

The Reverend defeated Elder Joseph Otubu of the Motailatu Church Cherubim and Seraphim Movement (MCCSW) with 54 votes to 28.

Oritsejafor, the outgoing CAN President announced the result at the Ecumenical Centre, Abuja.
