Buhari’s Wife Lobby for Male Commissioner swapped with a Female

The Wife of Mr. President Aisha Buhari was in Yola, the Adamawa state capital over the weekend for  the inauguration of a free medical check-up for women in the state.

While inaugurating a free medical check-up for 2,000 women in Yola on Friday, president Buhari’s wife said women in the state were against the appointment of a man as their commissioner as the state is one of the few states that has appointed a man the Commissioner for Women Affairs.

Aisha Buhari, has therefore, began the process of lobbying Governor Muhammed Bindow Jibrilla of Adamawa state to replace the commissioner- Alhaji Aliyu Tola, with a woman.

She said, “The women are protesting. They asked me to pass their wishes to have a woman as their commissioner for women affairs.”
