Buhari to Commission Abuja-Kaduna Railway Line

President Muhammadu Buhari will today commission the Abuja-Kaduna railway line to signal the commencement of commercial operations.

The presidency through its social media account,yesterday hinted that the president will flag off the official use of the recently completed project on Tuesday after weeks of test-run.

The Abuja-Kaduna railway line was the initiative of the last administration under former President Goodluck Jonathan.

The railway line was completed by the Buhari administration through the supervision of the ministry of transportation headed by former Rivers state governor, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, who has been variously criticised for leaving a light-rail project in Rivers state uncompleted during his tenure.

In the light of the imminent commissioning of the Abuja-Kaduna railway line, the presidency expressed its determination to zealously execute all unfinished projects it inherited from the last administration.

Tomorrow President @MBuhari will commission the Abuja (Idu)—Kaduna standard-gauge Railway Line, and flag-off commercial operations on it.
