Broke 50 Cent Donates $100,000 to Autism charity

You’ve probably heard that rapper 50 Cent took a dive into hot water after he unabashedly made fun of a teenager who suffered from a disability, and shared it with his 8 million twitter followers and about 10 million Instagram followers.

It was later brought to light that the teenager in question, Andrew Farrell, suffers from Aspergers, a mild form of autism and the backlash came whipping pretty hard. Since then, Andrew’s step-father has spoken out against 50 Cent, and asked that the rapper apologize and donate $10,000 to an autism advocacy group called Autism Speaks.

50 did get all apologetic, and now there is a report saying that he’s also donated to Autism Speaks– going above and beyond the $10k.

TMZ reports that 50 donated $100,000 to Autism Speaks in the wake of this controversy– no word on how this affects his bankruptcy situation. This also comes on the heels of news earlier today that Martin Shkreli donated $10,000 to group as a response to the incident.
