Bala Mohammed unable to account for N1.6 trillion in the Sales of plots of land

Bala Mohammed, former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, who is presently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is said to have been unable to account for over N1.6 trillion according to Premium Times reports.

The former Senator Bala Mohammed was arrested for alleged extensive land racketeering while he was minister and the EFCC had obtained an order to detain Mohammed while it continues investigations.

A source in the EFCC said the immediate past minister of FCT has been unable to account for N1.6 trillion in the sales of plots of land.

“After computation of the land deals that he struck, we discovered that more than N1.6 trillion could not be accounted for,” the source said.
