50 Cent releases his most talked about mixtape
After making fans wait a litle longer by missing out on the supposed release date on Black Friday, 50 Cent has finally unleashed his long-awaited The Kanan Tape.
The Kanan mixtape, which spawned the tracks “I’m the Man” and “Body Bags” ahead of its full release, features guest appearances from a handful of artists including Lil Boosie, Young Buck, Post Malone, and Sonny Digital, the latter of which contributes to production alongside Alchemist, Scoop DeVille, Bandplay, London on Da Track, Colt 45, and Illmind.
The free tape arrives at the end of a year which will go down as one of the worst years for the entrepreneur. He was recently called upon to play himself in the Fox comedy series “My Friend 50,” starred in Southpaw alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, and signed a $78 million endorsement deal with men’s underwear line FRIGO while penning a 2 year deal with Starz.
In July, though, he filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and explained that his net worth is only $4.4 million even though he went ahead to buy a massive mansion in Africa.
He also reignited beefs with old foes Rick Ross and Ja Rule, and more recently traded words in the media with his ex, Vivica A. Fox.
With the release of The Kanan Tape, 50 Cent is expected to release his next album, Street King Immortal, in 2016.
