Meet the Japanese Cosmetic Surgeon who Redeemed Prize to Nigeria’s Dream Team

mikel and japJapanese cosmetic surgeon Katsuya Takasu, a billionaire gave the Nigeria Olympic football team, Dream Team VI, cash rewards for winning a #bronze medal for Nigeria having defeated Hunduras 3-2.

The President of the Japan society of liposuction surgery since 1987 redeemed his pledge to Dream Team VI Team coach, Samson Siasia, and Mikel Obi captain as each got $200,000 and $190,000, respectively.

Katsuya Takasu had promised each player of the Nigerian U-23 team $30, 000 if they win the gold in the men’s soccer event and will pay the team $20, 000 dollars for silver and $12,000 for bronze.

In 1995, he set up a reconstructive surgery organisation to provide plastic and reconstructive treatment to victims of the Great Hanshin earthquake that rocked Japan that year.

71 year old Dr Katsuya Takasu is a Guinness world record holder. In 2011, Dr Takasu and a friend set the record for the most golf holes played by a pair in 12 holes. Both men completed 261 holes at Kyowa Country Club, Toyota city, Japan. Now we know this man has an innate passion for sports.
