Zlatan Ibrahimovic to play last game for PSG

Following months of uncertainty and speculations, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paris Saint-Germain striker  has announced he will play his final game at the Parc des Princes in this weekend’s Ligue 1 fixture against Nantes.

34-year-old talismanic striker – the highest earning player in French football – sees out his present contract in the summer, with rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League where Manchester United and Arsenal are touted as favourites for his signature.

Ibracadambra has also been linked with a move to MLS bigwigs, LA Galaxy, while a return to Italy has also been mentioned.

Zlatan had dropped a big hint this week that he could make a return to Serie A giants AC Milan in the summer, saying they are the “biggest club” he ever played for and that he never wanted to leave them in 2012.

However, all doubts about his continued stay in the City of Lights were dispelled with his post on social media Friday morning: “My last game tomorrow at Parc des Princes. I came like a king, left like a legend.”

PSG’s all-time leading scorer, will make his final appearance for the club in the Coupe de France final against Marseille on May 21, as Laurent Blanc’s side looks to complete another domestic treble.

Meanwhile, Barcelona star Neymar, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Atletico Madrid talisman Antoine Griezmann have all been linked as possible replacements for the Swede.
