(WATCH) Taylor Swift Feud, the beginning of the end of my life – Kanye West
While performing before fans in Manilla, Philippines yesterday, Kanye West addressed the controversial lyrics of his song ‘Famous’— “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous” – which kicked off yet anther feud between him and Taylor Swift, and that the song ‘cured’ his writer’s bloc.
“Because it’s something I wanted to say so bad that they told me I couldn’t say,” he honestly told the crowd.
As if the first feud between the two top acts which started at the 2009 MTV VMAs was not enough, when Ye interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech, but they made up and became great friends.
The second fight kicked off after Swift’s representatives said that Kanye West only told Taylor Swift about promoting his song ‘Famous’ on her social media page, but never informed her of the misogynist content. And during her speech at the just-concluded Grammy Awards, Taylor Swift addressed Kanye West’s claim that he made her famous.
“So if I get in trouble for saying the truth, what’s being said the rest of the time,” Yeezy said, adding, “And I I had to fight every day for the rest of my life with the whole world against me for saying out loud what everyone else felt. But that’s the job of the artist, of a true artist — not to be controlled by their finances, not to be controlled by perception, but only to be controlled by their truth.”
