UniJos ASUU Suspends Strike after 91 Days
University of Jos has called off its Strike which has lasted for 3 months today. The University of Jos chapter of Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU had embarked on the strike action since October 23rd following their demand, among other things, the disbursement of their earned academic allowance as well as the payment of postgraduate supervision allowance has seen students of the Institution at home for 91 days.
News about the strike being called off was reported via @UniJosBreaking, a Twitter account used by the School’s administration in getting info to the public.
The strike got called off after the Minister for Youths and Sports, Mr. Solomon Dalung interfered between the warring factions. Mr Dalung until his appointment as a Minister was a member of ASUU Unijos Chapter.
