Ubi Franklin reacts to Iyanya setting up New Label
Triple MG label co-owner Iyanya announced via his Instagram page that he will be setting a record label of his own and Ubi has been quick to dismiss any rumours about why Iyanya is pitching his tent alone.
The announcement has since been a topic of debate among the fans of Mr Oreo and critics alike as to why Iyanya will be setting up a new record label despite co-owning Triple MG.
Many suggested a brewing crisis between the label heads – Iyanya and Ubi Franklin, which may potentially lead to a repeat of the Don Jazzy and D’banj 2012 scenario; wherein Iyanya simply wants to move on.
According to Iyanya’s manager and co-owner of the label in an interview with Ynaija, there appears to be no such thing as an in-house crisis or a split.
“Don’t worry, there is no issue,” the music executive said whilst speaking in a quick telephone chat.
Ubi Franklin also assured that all was well as regards their joint music venture, also stating that, “when we are ready to reveal how it is going to roll, we will let you know.”
