Tribunal Sacks Rivers Governor Wike #BrreakingNews

wikeGovernor Wike must be having a terrible week while it is all smiles for the APC. The Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal has sacked Nyesom Wike as the governor of River state.

The tribunal passed its judgment less than an hour ago, in Abuja.

The All Progressives Congress Candidate, Dakuku Peterside had contested the election of Wike, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, who was returned winner of the polls.

Delivering its judgment on Saturday, the tribunal stated that the petitioners’ witnesses were reliable and their allegations relevant.

The APC witnesses had testified on intimidation of voters, non-availability of result sheets, snatching of electoral materials, non-collation of results at wards and LG levels..

The tribunal also stated that exhibit A9 presented by the petitioners, which is a report by head of election monitoring team of INEC office in Rivers State, Charles Okoye, confirmed the allegations of the petitioners.

The character of Wike’s witnesses were also questioned, with the tribunal stating that they dodged questions under cross-examination and also refused to answer some questions.

The tribunal has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct a fresh election within 90 days.
