Pep Guardiola to Earn €4m More at Man City

Following yesterday’s statement by Manchester City where the football club announced that Manuel Pellegrini will be leaving the club at the end of the season and Pep Guardiola will take his place, the light has now been on what the World’s football top earning coach will be taking home

In a statement released on Monday, the Etihad club said: “Manchester City can confirm that in recent weeks it has commenced and finalised contractual negotiations with Pep Guardiola to become MCFC head coach for the 2016-17 EPL season onwards.

“The contract is for three years. These negotiations were a re-commencement of discussions that were curtailed in 2012.”

The terms of the deal, means that the former Barcelona FC player and Coach will get a €4 million pay rise and that will see him rake in a whopping €20 million every year.

Guardiola was already the highest-paid manager in world football, with his €16 million pay packet with Bayern.
