T.B Joshua Denies Links to Panama Papers

Prophet T.B Joshua, founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has reacted to reports linking him to a shell company in the British Virgin Islands as exposed by recently leaked documents.

The controversial pastor and his wife were named as owners of Chillon Consultancy Limited located in the tax haven as one of the many companies secretly managed by a law firm, Mossack Fonseca.

Prophet T.B Joshua in a post he put up on his Facebook page said he was shocked to find his name mentioned in the Panama Papers and ascribed it to those intent on defaming his ministry.

“I am not a businessman and have no business whatsoever. What God has given me is enough. I have nothing to do with the Panama Papers,” he said.

The tele-evangelist further warned an online news medium against using the Panama Papers leak as an opportunity to attack him, linking the publication of his name to previous allegations that he bribed journalists after a building collapsed within his church premises and killed over 100 people in 2014.

“Do not use the Panama Papers to attack those you have been looking for an opportunity to victimise. This is to show that not everybody alleged in the media to be involved in the Panama Papers is truly involved. My own case is a good example.

“Beware of those using the Panama Papers for fraudulent purposes! This is a very big mistake the fraudsters have made. Those who read this report – take time to do your findings. It is malicious,” he said.
