Shabba Cover Video – Chanda Mbao ft Scott & Kaladoshas

After a successful run with his latest single ‘Selfish’, Zambian rapper Chanda Mbao has released a cover of the recent Wizkid single ‘Shabba’ which features Trey Songz, Chris Brown and French Montana. For the cover, Chanda recruits talents Scott, a young RnB singer, and Kaladoshas, one of Zambia’s bright dance-hall stars.

When asked about what motivated them to do the cover, Chanda said: “Mixtape freestyles like this are obviously a big part of the Hip-Hop culture and we were feeling the bounce of the song so we wanted to showcase our Zambian take on the track, representing Zambia. Beyond that, I obviously have to show respect to what Wizkid is doing for African artists–he’s making history and it must be recognized. Even aside from Wizkid, we have a healthy respect for what Nigerian artists are doing right now.”
