See Yemi Alade’s Reaction on her BET Nomination after calling it a Glorified Award Last Year

Nigerian acts Yemi Alade and Wizkid have been given another nod for the BET: Best International Act Africa (2016 edition), and considering the fact that three South African acts are also included in the highly competitive category, this nomination is significant.

Last year Yemi blasted the show organisers, recall, after the winner of the category was announced, Yemi Alade took to her social media page to drag the awards committee for three reasons:

That the Best African Act award was given backstage, before the main event
That the award programme is simply ‘glorified’
That the awards organisers were guilty of favouring Ghana’s Stonebwoy over her

the singer has taken a sharp turn. Moments after MTV alerted her of the 2016 nomination, Yemi Alade quickly took to her page to celebrate. “Thank you for the love. I would be no where without it,” she wrote, before asking loyal fans to go vote for her.
