Ahmed Mogaji, Saraki’s counsel, had urged the tribunal to suspend further hearing on the matter due to the case at the Supreme Court thereby letting the decision of the matter guide the case. His arguement was, however, opposed by the prosecution, Rotimi Jacobs.

The Tribunal having listened to submissions from both counsels, refused to adjourn the case.

Reacting to the development, the defense counsel, Ahmed Mogaji resigned from defending Senator Saraki.

Meanwhile, Saraki has asked for adjournment to enable him engage another defense counsel.

The case has been adjourned to November 18 and 19.
