Sadiq Umar Opens Serie A Goals Account As Ogbeche, Simon Score

Little-known young Nigerian forward Sadiq Umar was the hero for Roma as his goal sealed a 2-0 Serie A home win against Genoa on Sunday.
Umar who replaced Mohammed Salah on 82 minutes, and was only making his third appearance, scored in the 89th minute to give Roma the win.

Alessandro Florenzi had earlier given Roma a 42nd minute lead.

In the Dutch Eredivisie, Bartholomew Ogbeche hit a brace for Cambuur in their 4-1 away win against Excelsior.

Ogbeche struck in the 34th and 71st minute of the encounter. He has now scored nine league goals.

Other scorers for Cambuur were Jack Byrne and Janairo Monteiro, while Kevin Vermeulen got Excelsior’s only goal.

Moses Simon was on target for Gent as they beat visiting Kortrijk 3-0.

Simon opened the scoring in the 35th minute of the match. The duo of Sven Kums and Danijel Milicevic added the other two goals.

He has now scored two league goals in 15 appearances for Gent this season.

Super Eagles keeper Carl Ikeme was in goal for Wolverhampton Wanderers in their 4-1 away loss to Sheffield Wednesday in the English championship.

And Super Eagles assistant captain Ogenyi Onazi was an unused substitute for Lazio who shocked Inter Milan with a 2-1 win at the San Siro.
