Rock International Film Festival (RIFF) set to Illuminate Jos in grand style 1st – 4th November

The second edition of the Rock International Film Festival (RIFF) is set to illuminate Jos, Plateau State, in grand style with a series of activities to brace the 4-day event starting from November 1st–4th, 2023, at the prestigious Jos Museum Auditorium.

Rock International Film Festival (RIFF) is a renowned film festival dedicated to showcasing thought-provoking films that address human rights and social justice issues with the mission to inspire, inform, and ignite change through the art of storytelling.

On this second edition of RIFF, the central organizing committee outlines a series of activities to thrill individuals, including the Rock Awards Ceremony, an exciting lineup of human rights films, engaging panel discussions from guest speakers, filmmakers, and notable personalities attending the festival, ensuring a vibrant and diverse experience for all attendees.

The organizers also outline topics to be discussed according to the days of the events. Topics Include:
Day 1: Protest as a Tool for social justice and change

Day 2: Human Rights Issues and Violations in Nigeria

DAY3- Human and Drug Trafficking and Prostitution

The 3-day event will round up with the Rock Award Ceremony, which will be held on the 4th of November, 2023 by 2 p.m. This award honors outstanding contributions to human rights storytelling in film, encouraging impactful narratives and meaningful discussions.

This year, RIFF is excited to unveil a carefully curated lineup of films that delve deep into the heat of human rights issues, from stories of resilience in the face of adversity to powerful calls for justice, which are Writing with Fire, Women of Valor, Bigger Than Us, Halima, My Story, and Latifah. These films will ignite conversations and inspire action.
