Police kills Student While Chasing Internet Fraudster

A 20-year-old business administration student,Eldanojie Joseph was tragically shot dead by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Ogoja Market, LASU-Igando Road, Lagos whilst they were chasing an internet fraudster.

Accordig to The Punch,the victim identified as Eldanojie Joseph was visiting his cousin in Iba Ojo. He was said to have gone out to buy drinks with his cousin when all of a sudden the SARS operatives, who were on the trail of an internet fraudster, began to shoot sporadically.

The victim was hit by a stray bullet and died on the spot.

The SARS operatives reportedly dumped the victim’s corpse in the boot of the suspected fraudster’s car and drove off.

The victim’s cousin stated that operatives lied that Eldanojie was a cult member to cover up their wrong while speaking to reporters, meanwhile, the SARS team insisted that the victim was a cult member and that he had attempted to shoot at them when they fired back.
