Police arrests toy Gun Robber in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old suspected robber, Moses Akpan, for allegedly robbing residents of Oniru, in the Lekki area of the state with a toy gun.

The Punch reports that the toy gun was recovered from the suspect on his arrest on Thursday.

Akpan, who hails from Akwa Ibom State, had allegedly dispossessed some residents of their valuables on Oniru Market Road around 2pm on Thursday.

The suspect Moses Akpan was trailed to his house by operatives of the Maroko division where he was arrested.

The operatives also reportedly recovered a refrigerator from the suspect’s house.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed Akpan’s arrest.

She said, “The case is under investigation and the suspect will be charged to court. The suspect has also confessed to the use of a toy gun for robbery.”
