Nigerians Drag DJ Cuppy after Photo with Zuckerberg
Trust Nigerians nah, DJ Cuppy is currently being dragged to the gutters over the comments she made in her June interview with UK tabloid, Daily Mail after she posted her selfie with Facebook boss, Mark Zuckerberg.
The disc jockey in her Daily Mail interview had stated that whenever she is working in Nigeria, she travels “with a security team in a bulletproof car due to the risk of robbery and kidnapping.” Many of her fans considered the comment insensitive, especially because she gushed about the UK being her safe place.
When Zuckerberg visited Nigeria and walked the streets of Lagos without any security, it called for celebration as this was considered a redemptive evidence, with which we could attempt to restore the nation’s image.
DJ Cuppy’s pose for a photograph with the Facebook boss triggered Nigerians to remind her of her comments.
