Nigerian Actress Yetunde Akilapa Reportedly Caught Again Trying To Burgle House To Stealing
Nollywood actress, Yetunde Akilapa, has made the news again after she was reportedly caught trying to burgle a house in Lagos with the aim to steal.
Reports have emerged and made the rounds, especially on social media, that Akilapa was caught and handed over to the police while trying to gain entrance into an apartment in Ajao estate, Oluwalogbon area of Ketu, Lagos state so as to cart away valuable properties.
It was gathered that she was apprehended on December 6, and subsequently taken away by the police to prevent jungle justice.
The Nigerian actress, who has garnered ignoble reputation for being a serial thief and habitual home burglar, is making the news for the fifth time for same crime.
Six months ago, she was arrested and charged to court for burglary and stealing valuables to the tune of N7million at an apartment situated inside Mutairu street, Shangisha area of Ketu, Lagos.
In 2014 after she was arrested for burglary and stealing, she said he needed prayers to overcome the spiritual attack on her.
“I am not a thief. I didn’t steal anything. I don’t know what is happening to me. I have every reason to believe my problem is spiritual.
“I can’t even explain the circumstance I found myself. I am fed up with life. I am not what people think I am. God please help me out of this mess.”
“As I am speaking with you now, I am in Ibadan, Oyo State, seeking the face of God and I believe I would get out of this dilemma one day. I am not a kleptomaniac.”
She was also arrested for robbery by police in Alade, Somolu, Lagos, in February 2013. She was sent to Kirikiri prison and, after a few months, was released in November 2013.
In November 2015, Akilapa allegedly burgled the residence of Oyinlol Tuga on Ayodele Okeowo street, Gbagada and tried carting away valuables when she was nabbed in the act.
Akilapa burst unto the scene in 2013 when she appeared in the Yoruba movie, “ Ileri-Oluwa’’, which shot her to fame.
