Kogi State House of Assembly Sacks Speaker Momoh Jimoh-Lawal

The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Momoh Jimoh-Lawal, has been impeached.

Jimoh-Lawal, who was accused of financial recklessness and misconduct, was impeached by 17 of the 25-member House.

Momoh Jimoh-Lawal represents Ogori/Magongo Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly.

Hon. Godwin Osiyi has been named as the new Speaker.

The Kogi State House of Assembly consists of 14 PDP members and 11 APC members.
