Man cuts off Relative’s hand over Land (Graphic)

In Emevor community of Isoko-North Local Government Area of Delta State, one Jude Boroh has allegedly chopped off the hand of an extended family member.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at about 5pm on Saturday after a meeting involving the parties to demarcate and adjust a family land boundary went sour.

The meeting was reportedly unsuccessful, leading to the incident.

It was gathered that the suspect was a member of the Umutama family, which belonged to the extended Ururoho family in the Emevor community.

Morgan Ekure, a civil servant with the Delta State Government, who is from the Edivri family,was the victim as he was left bleeding after the incident.

A senior member of the Edivri family, Edward Ekure said the suspect had before the meeting threatened to wreak havoc over the land.

According to him, the meeting had gone peacefully before the suspect surfaced to attack the victim.

According to Punch, the suspect had already been arrested by the police at the Otor-Owhe division.

The spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, SP Celestina Kalu, confirmed the development when contacted.
